Relativity of Fear

3rd Collection ATELIER rosenbaum (Creative Direction Valentin Jauch &  Tim Rosenbaum)

The wave of revolution starting in 1968 shifted society in different political camps. The desire of fighting against political decisions brought people together demonstrating and protecting their rights. This led the government to fight back with violence and oppression, fearing the drastic changes that might come with those movements.

In 1970 when students of the Kent State University demonstrated peacefully against the napalm operations in Vietnam a battalion of policemen opened up the gunfire and killed 4 innocent demonstrators. A dozen others were wounded.
During that time more and more political student organizations were founded in other western countries. Building societies with their own media such as newsletters, pamphlets and regular discussion circles students got an alternative independent platform which strengthened their interests.
